Soybeans Mixed on Wednesday, as NOPA Reports Record Crush

Soybeans are posting higher midday trade in the nearbys, with new crop November down 3 ½ cents. CmdtyView’s national front month Cash Bean price is up 2 cents at $9.90. Soymeal futures are $3.50/ton lower on the day. Soy Oil futures are 10 points higher so far on the session. There were 17 deliveries issued against January soybeans overnight, with 35 for January meal and 82 for bean oil.

NOPA crush data from this morning showed December crush totaling 206.6 mbu, more than 1 mbu above estimates. That was an increase of 6.96% from last month, 5.77% larger than December 2023 and an all-time record for any month. Bean oil stocks were tallied at 1.24 billion lbs, the largest in 5 months but still 9.11% below the end of 2023.

May 25 Soybeans  are at $10.63, up 1 3/4 cents,

Nov 25 Soybeans  are at $10.46, down 3 1/2 cents,

New Crop Cash  is at $9.81, down 3 cents,
